Finally...

Hi everyone! It's been way too long since I've updated. We had a wonderful time in Succasunna for Easter. Good quality family time is always a blast. Nick and Dad had a little "man work" to do on Saturday. They put up a flag pole in the front lawn. I think it looks great, but the jury is still out on whether or not it should stay. We had a wonderful Easter that started with an uplifting church service and continued with a great dinner made by Mom. To our MN family....we can't wait to see you in a few weeks!!! Here are the few pictures I managed to take.

Hello there family!! Wow it's been a while since I updated this. I thought I'd put up a few pics of what Nick has been up to recently. The pictures of the house are pretty impressive. There was no stone showing when he started! I think those guys are going to miss him...he was a plaster-removing machine! The other few pictures are from his first day of work at M&T yesterday. He was so excited that he forgot his lunch and his directions...both of which I ended up running out to him in my pj's. :) I am anxiously waiting to hear from either Camp Hill school district about day-to-day subbing or Cumberland valley school district about a long-term sub position that would start next week and continue through the end of the school year. Either way I am hoping to start subbing next week. Hope you enjoy the pictures!!

Nick's culinary adventures and a bit of Christmas cheer...

Hello family and friends! Well, I thought I'd write and update you on life in Mechanicsburg. We are both still technically jobless, although I've been doing some temp work and Nick is hopefully starting some part time or temp work this week. The search is seeming long and we have both had moments of frustration, but for the most part our attitudes have been hopeful and we know something will work out soon. I have another temp job lined up for a few days this next week and Nick has a few meetings/interviews and some possibilities in the works. Other than the job search, we've been having a blast. Nick has been experimenting in the kitchen as you can see from some of these photos. His most unique dish was a Mexican omelette/burrito. I opted for leftovers that night, but I did have a taste and it wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. The other picture is of him whipping up a little "hot dish" thanks to a recipe from his Mom. In other news, our house has officially been Christmased. After realizing how much I love this time of year, including decorating for Christmas, Nick agreed to a trip to Walmart to buy a little mini Christmas tree. I had a blast decorating every inch of that 3 foot tree. :) We also put up a few things we got for Wedding gifts...a nativity from Niki and Matt and a beautiful wreath and little snowman from Carrie. I am starting to play Christmas music and wrap presents....Nick thinks I'm nuts. :) Anyway, here are the pictures. Love and miss you all!

November already!?

Hi there family! Time is flying and I realized it's been a while since I last blogged. Things here are good. We're enjoying time together, but are also anxious for jobs to open up for us. It's a good lesson in patience and we are trying to wait on the Lord's timing and trust that he has it all figured out. :) I'm starting with Select Medical Corp. on Monday as a temporary employee through the end of November. They're very flexible with their temps and even allow them to schedule interviews with other companies while you're an employee there. I interview on Tuesday at the YWCA for a rape crisis counselor/case manager assistant. It sounds very interesting to me so I'm excited to find out more about it. Nick has a few interviews coming up this week with M&T bank and Greystone bank. This weekend we plan on taking in a few soccer games at Messiah. They're hosting the NCAA first and second rounds for both the men and women...should be fun! I wanted to put up a few pictures that Nick took this past weekend in MN. Enjoy!
